Who ARE We

TMHS instructors are trained musicians ready to give individual instruction and guidance to all students. They are performers, scholars, and leaders in the community. Staff and Teachers mentor and advise students for the purpose of evolving their talents by imparting knowledge, tradition and pushing past boundaries, and empowering students to distinguish themselves in the arts.

Kandace Henry

Kandace Henry

Office Assistant

Kandace Henry is a team member of Scoop Zone, Scoop Zone Backyard Productions and the Office Assistant at Teach Me How Studio. Currently, she is studying at North Carolina A&T State University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Business Management in hopes of becoming an Artist Manager. She is a member of the Aggie Athletics Foundation where her duties include assisting with donations, making phone calls and providing assistance at the football games. 

Myles Julian Veney

Myles Julian Veney

Piano Instructor

Myles Julian Veney is a solo pianist specializing in concert and compositional performance. He has studied piano for over 12 years and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Music at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he is a student of the School of Music. Veney is a 2-time grand prize winner of the Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt Competition for Young Musicians where he competed on a regional and state level in North Carolina. He is also licensed as a rehabilitation technician for aiding patients with IDD (Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities) with a special concentration in meditation and music therapy. Veney is happily married and an active member of his church. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and playing video games. 

Aaron Henry

Aaron Henry

Percussion/Music Production

Aaron Henry is a senior at North Carolina A&T State University majoring in Liberal Studies with a minor in Music. He is the Music Production teacher at Teach Me How Studio and an upcoming producer in the Greensboro and surrounding area. Aaron is the Percussionist at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoys producing his very own original musical pieces. 

Robert Jarrell

Robert Jarrell, the owner and operator of Teach Me How Studio, is a graduate of N.C. Agricultural & Technical State University with a Degree in Music General. He is a member of the North Carolina Music Educators Association and the National Education Association. Robert has held several music positions in the Greensboro community. Robert is employed by Guilford County School and currently the choral music director at Walter Hines Page High School and the Music Director at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout his career he has taught at various schools in the community such as James B. Dudley High School, Fairview Elementary School, Peck Elementary School and Northeast High School. Robert has also served as the director of the Greensboro chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA). Robert’s Mission is to give every musically interested child the opportunity and a safe place to develop their musical skill.
